Provider Appreciation Day is celebrated every year on the Friday before Mother's Day. It is a special day to recognize child care providers, teachers, and educators for the invaluable work they do with children every day.
This year it falls on Friday May12th, 2006. 
Please take the time to thank and recognize those providers who make such a difference with your child(ren) every day.

Some ideas of things to do:

Send flowers, cards or a handwritten note of appreciation
Give your provider a gift certificate for dinner out or spa service
Get together with other parents to create a surprise
Bring breakfast or lunch for your provider and for the kids
Work with your child to create a special remembrance
Buy something for your provider's play area
Give your provider a paid day off or a bonus
Key in on your provider's hobby and buy them an appropriate gift
