Proposed Quality Improvement and Rating System for Minnesota Child Care Providers

Minnesota’s North Star Quality Rating System (QIRS) is planned as a voluntary system of support, recognition and financial incentives for quality for participating licensed family child providers, centers, Head Start and school age care programs. The Minnesota North Star QIRS will also provide parents with specific quality indicators in the form of program ratings to help them make choices for their children’s care and education. For more information on the proposed Quality Rating System, visit Ready 4K.
