FCCI’s Advocacy Committee hosted a successful candidate forum Monday, October 29th. All 8 candidates attended and shared their vision for addressing the child care crisis. We look forward to working with those elected this coming session to address the needs of the family child care profession. We would like to thank Betsy Singer from ABC 6 News - KAAL TV for doing a phenomenal job moderating! Now it’s time to make sure we all vote on Tuesday, November 6th!

Congratulations to the FCCI Advocacy Committee, Senator Carla Nelson and Representative Duane Quam for their work to eliminate the 2 year posting requirement of correction orders in family child care homes and centers. This bill received bipartisan support and the Governor signed it to law. When session concludes watch for further information on all bills related to child care and effective dates.
